IP Configuration - Windows 95/98/Millenium

Windows 98 and Millennium have a networking utility called winipcfg. This will release your current IP address and make a request for a new one.

1. Click on the Start menu
2. Click on Run

   

3. Type winipcfg in the Open field

   

4. Make sure that under Ethernet Adapter Information you are looking at the information for your network card. If you see PPP Adapter, click on the down arrow and select your network card.
5. Click the Release button
6. Click the Renew button

   

7. Click the OK button
